ACTIVEND vending machines feature the latest “green” technology including:
- eco friendly refrigeration (approx. 3 KWH/per day which is equivalent to just $150 per year in energy costs)
- the thickest foam insulation available on the market
- balanced air flow
- power saving LED lighting
- quiet running 240V operation
The technology in our snack, drink and combo vending machines begins with class leading insulation of the cabinet and door. The Zero ODP Ecomate™ foam process features the thickest insulating foam on the market to maintain even temperatures and reduce energy usage. The doors are made of Low-E triple pane Argon filled glass.
The combination of chill/refrigeration operation produces a balanced air flow and keeps the variety of food and drink items at their optimum freshness. Temperature zones can be individually adjusted to suit contents and minimise energy usage.
To fill the the large viewing window with bright light – and make purchases an easy process – we use energy saving LED lighting. LED has become the accepted “green” choice for everything from traffic lights to vehicles. There are no bulbs to change. LCD touch screens are also based on low-energy use technology.
The 240V powered motors can be paired up so that two snack, drink or combo’ vending machines can operate from a single motor. In addition, the “time of day shut down” feature enables motors to switch into standby mode at certain times of the day (for example, evenings when the vending machines are not being used) to further reduce energy use.
